Tempo Wins 2018 Archiproducts Lighting Design Award

Vibia’s Tempo was selected winner of the 2018 Archiproducts Design Awards (ADA) for outstanding design in lighting. The prestigious international design competition recognizes excellence across 14 product categories with the aim of rewarding innovation and the emotional and functional power of creative projects.

A jury of acclaimed architects, designers, journalists, and photographers selected Tempo’s diamond-shaped lamp from among more than 400 global designs and brands vying for this year’s ADA awards.

Designed by the Barcelona-based studio Lievore Altherr, Tempo was inspired by lighting archetypes seen throughout history. Reducing these familiar forms to their most essential, minimalist expression—in what the designers call an “evolving of tradition”—the LED-powered Tempo collection is offered in three streamlined styles.

The award-winning, diamond-shaped version features translucent, blown glass that emits a diffuse, ambient light. Tempo also comes in a classic round bulb or glass globe diffuser and all styles are available as wall sconces or pendants.
