THE MAKING OF SUITE

SUITE es una colección híbrida, diseñada por Jordi Vilardell y Meritxell Vidal, que integra mobiliario y lámpara.

El punto de partida de los diseñadores fue el estudio de la luz en los espacios comunes de la casa, como pueden ser los próximos al sofá o a la cama, zonas que generalmente están ocupadas por mesas auxiliares u otros complementos, repisas o mesitas de noche que sirven de soporte para objetos personales o decorativos, libros o dispositivos multimedia. Esta colección ha sido posible gracias a las oportunidades brindadas por la tecnología LED.

La colección cuenta con dos tipos de luz, ambiental indirecta y directa, proporcionadas por elementos específicos. Una pantalla orientable o una piedra luminosa con formas orgánicas pueden ser combinadas con una luz ambiental indirecta integrada en la lámpara.

La elección de la tecnología LED ofrece una mayor eficiencia energética tanto en términos de consumo de energía como en la forma en la que SUITE reduce la contaminación luminosa, proporcionando confort visual y los niveles de luz requeridos en las áreas donde se coloque. La colección representa una evolución en el concepto que los diseñadores definen como un enfoque “suave” hacia una iluminación nocturna más discreta y afable.
