Coffee&Play: Luce e gioco, Algorithm in movimento

Coffee&Play è una sala giochi che è stata di recente aperta a Siviglia ed ospita una grande varietà di installazioni per il tempo libero al coperto oltre ad offrire un esclusivo servizio catering e cocktail. Il tempo libero è il paradigma della vita contemporanea, sia di quella basata sulla realtà virtuale che quella tradizionale.

Per questo motivo Coffee&Play offre macchine da gioco, schermi sintonizzati su eventi sportivi e videogiochi ad alta tecnologia.

Per l’illuminazione degli interni del Coffee&Play si è puntato sull’installazione della lampada Algorithm, ideata da Toan Nguyen per Vibia. La lampada, creata su misura, è stata adattata in modo specifico, infatti, le guide da cui pendono le sfere in vetro soffiato, solitamente disposte su una struttura statica, in questo caso sono motorizzate in modo da fornire uno sculturale impianto cinetico, vale a dire in movimento, che è possibile programmare ed offre diverse configurazioni.

Trattandosi di sale di gioco, normalmente chiuse rispetto all’esterno, l’illuminazione artificiale deve essere particolarmente curata, tenendo conto della sensibilità degli animatori, dei videogiochi e delle macchine da gioco. In questo caso, l’installazione di Algorithm acquisisce una duplice funzione: non si limita a illuminare, ma offre anche un aspetto ludico, che riflette le attività che si svolgono all’interno di questo spazio.
