Il “Making of” di Pin

Quando il designer Ichiro Iwasaki ricevette da Vibia l’incarico per la progettazione di PIN, era consapevole del ritmo vertiginoso dei cambiamenti tecnologici che caratterizzano la vita moderna. Partendo da questa riflessione, la collezione cerca una continuità tra gli aspetti familiari dell’illuminazione tradizionale e la funzionalità della routine quotidiana, traendo beneficio dai grandi progressi tecnologici sperimentati in questo campo negli ultimi anni.

 

 

 

La collezione Pin contempla versioni da tavola, terra, parete e faretti. Tutte abbinano insieme un sottile stelo sagomato, un diffusore orientabile e un supporto circolare.

Il linguaggio essenziale del design di Iwasaki è da lui descritto da come un termine familiare, comprensibile a tutti, una luce atemporale compatibile con interni tradizionali e contemporanei.

La sorgente di luce Led si trova all’interno di un diffusore emisferico orientabile grazie a un “pin”, o astina metallica facile da manipolare, giacché questa tecnologia luminosa riduce l’emissione di calore.
