The Flat collection, conceived by Ichiro Iwasaki presents designers and architects with a versatile choice of models to mold and sculpt light in a variety of spaces. Metal disks provide an indirect reflective illumination, separate or combined, as light fixtures or useful pieces of furniture.
The ceiling, hanging and floor versions exploit the flat, planar circular geometry of metal disks to create a lighting feature or intimate pockets of light.
The sofa of this living room is framed by two floor versions of Flat on either side. An asymmetrical composition that underlines the practical and versatile aspects of Flat for creating intimate spaces. Practical as a side table for setting down a book or a glass of wine. Flexible thanks to the indirect lighting.

The collection is equally versatile in public spaces like reception areas or entrance halls. Here a constellation of hanging Flat Pendant lights provides a sculptural focus to an otherwise empty void, as well as illuminating a warm welcome.
Evenly spaced Ceiling versions of Flat are used to throw an even matrix of light over a double height stairwell and gallery. The light is kept close to the ceiling to maximise the sensation of space without sacrificing the decorative possibilities.
The Pendant and Floor version of Flat are combined to great effect with this seating area. Plush seating is sandwiched between the geometric motifs of the collection, from above and below, to provide an intimate island in an otherwise voluminous space.
