Rhythm and Jazz, Washington DC

Partnering with Resource Furniture, Vibia held a Spring fête celebrating our Zen minimalist pendant, RHYTHM, designed by Arik Levy. Featuring local delicacies, a home-grown jazz trio and the wondrous transforming, space-saving beds and sofas that put this showroom on the map, the night was a simultaneously relaxing and stimulating ode to design.

Located in the DC Design District of Cady’s Alley, the showroom sits adjacent to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal in historic Georgetown, a neighborhood of Washington DC known for its charming mix of Georgian, Federal era and Classical architecture style.

Guests received a warm welcome from one of the collections set to launch later this year, MAYFAIR designed by Diego Fortunato.

Hiding within the interior of the entrance was this coincidentally genius product installation featuring ConcreteWall wallcovering  paired with FOLD surface wall sconce, designed also by Arik Levy.

Overlooking the Canal, RHYTHM received highlight and recognition in its large horizontal configuration, shown here in the off-white finish. Resource Furniture design director, Challie Stillman, chose to arrange this installation in calming waves of light, reflecting the spirit of this contemporary and essential showroom.

To create drama in another space, RHYTHM was suspended from the ceiling almost to the floor, a stunning installation at over 7ft long. Perfect for projects within a lobby, atrium, or large staircase, these models bring a sculptural essence to any project.

Shown here in the chocolate finish, the pendant was the perfect highlight to the event and was complemented by our special guests, a smooth Jazz collective that perfectly illustrates the essence of this quickly growing city’s culture, history and good taste.
